Shawn Head, founder and Managing Member of Head Murphy Law, has spent his career helping people regain control during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. His mission is simple: to help you protect what matters most and move forward with confidence.

Recognized repeatedly as one of Metro Detroit’s Top Lawyers (2014–2025) by DBusiness Magazine and named a Super Lawyers Selectee for 2023, 2024 and 2025— an honor given to only 5% of Michigan attorneys — Shawn combines respected legal skill with a personal commitment to his clients’ success.

Shawn graduated Cum Laude from Central Michigan University with a criminal justice-based Sociology degree before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Beyond the courtroom, he serves as National Director of Crisis Management for Phi Sigma Phi National Fraternity, Inc., and lends his experience to several non-profit boards dedicated to serving others.

Outside of the office, Shawn enjoys traveling to new vacation spots and restaurants with his wife, children, and close friends.
