Rebecca McLaughlin Haines - Senior Attorney

When you’re facing a complex legal challenge, you deserve an attorney who not only understands the law but also understands you. Rebecca McLaughlin Haines guides clients through legal matters with clarity, strategy, and care—helping them move from uncertainty to confidence.

Rebecca’s practice primarily focuses on commercial litigation, business matters, real estate litigation, general civil litigation, and appeals. She is a Member of the State Bar of Michigan and licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Rebecca is a Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan) graduate. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Spanish from Kalamazoo College and studied abroad at the University of Exremadura in Cáceres, Spain. As a lifelong resident of metro Detroit, Rebecca chose to attend Wayne State University Law School because of its deep commitment to the city’s revitalization and its mission of training lawyers who serve the community in which they live. While attending law school, she served as a Senior Articles Editor for the Wayne Law Review. She was also a student attorney and board member with the Free Legal Aid Clinic, assisting low-income residents and survivors of domestic violence with family-law matters and elder-law needs.

Prior to joining Head Murphy Law, Rebecca was a partner at an insurance defense firm in Troy. She acquired substantial litigation experience by handling no-fault and bodily injury cases, chaired a myriad of depositions, and obtained successful results for her clients at trial.

Today, Rebecca uses that same combination of rigor and compassion to help clients feel supported and informed—every step of the way. Her mission is simple: to be the trusted guide who helps you find the best path forward. Her commitment to excellence earned her recognition as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers from 2022-2025. She was also selected as a DBusiness Top Lawyer and Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” for Commercial Litigation in 2025.

When she’s not at the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, treating her dog like a princess, and maintaining an impressive mental database of movie quotes.
