Our office recently obtained a dismissal with prejudice for a client who was sued for $1.5 million.
The plaintiff, a finance company, alleged breaches of an equipment lease agreement and related guarantees involving multiple business entities and individuals and sought reimbursement for advanced funds, unpaid fees, and other damages equating to approximately $1.5 million. Plaintiff also alleged that our client personally guaranteed the lease—which she vehemently denied.
Our office then engaged a handwriting expert, whose analysis confirmed our client’s signature was forged. Plaintiff then agreed to dismiss the action against our client with prejudice.
